POWW List Policies

On-Topic Posts

On-topic posts include anything about web design, development, and programming. Workplace issues (pay equity, childcare, etc.) are also considered on-topic.

You are encouraged to send responses to on-topic posts to the entire list. You may respond privately if you are sending personal information or an attachment.

Off-Topic Posts

Since we hope foster a community as well as trade professional advice, off-topic posts (good dry cleaners, restaurants, etc) are allowed. However, please include "OT" in your subject header. Responses to off-topic posts should be sent directly to the poster and not to the entire list. The original poster should compile the responses she receives and post these to the list for anyone else who was interested.

For All Posts...

Please use appropriate subject lines. If you are responding to an email and the subject matter has changed, please change the subject header of your email to reflect this.

All the usual mailing list "no's" apply: no flaming, no personal attacks, no advertisements, NO SPAM (Spamming will get your membership revoked immediately). If this is your first time posting to the list (or if you have not posted for a long time), please write a sentence or two of introduction so that we can get to know you. Above all, please help us make this a safe, enjoyable community for all our members.

If you have questions, please email the list moderators:
